- Tuason Point works at high tide only
- Jacking Horse handles anything except dead low

Questions we get at the bar
What is the best surf spot in Siargao for beginners?
Jacking Horse, at the north end of the Cloud 9 beach in General Luna. It is a mellow right-hander over reef that behaves like a beach break at mid-to-high tide, and it is where the accredited schools teach. Daku Reef, a short boat ride out, is the soft longboard alternative.
Is Cloud 9 a left or a right?
A right. Cloud 9 is a hollow, barreling right-hander over a shallow reef shelf, surfed mid-to-high tide, and an advanced wave when a real swell runs. The heavy left next door is a separate wave called Tuason Point.
Which Siargao spots need a boat?
Stimpy's and Rock Island (about ₱250 per person return with a two-person minimum), Cemetery (about ₱150 per person), and Daku Reef (about ₱1,500 per boat). The boatman waits in the channel while you surf.
